Thanksgiving in a year of turmoil

It is a year like none. As a adult, I have lived through the years of 9/11 and in New Orleans when Katrina hit and yet the beginning of the third decade of this century has been a very challenging one.

All the plans I had for this year were all gone and my son has started Kindergarten via Zoom. Lost opportunities and year filled with worries and weariness about the disease and the failure in leadership in the country.

But on this thanksgiving, there are a lot of things to be thankful about. I am trying to reflect on all of those and feeling content that there are many good things and many good people in this world. Better days are around the corner and I am ready to do my part to make it happen.
